The AJK Police invites applications for various security-related positions advertised in the Mahasib Newspaper on 26 November 2024. These vacancies are available in several regions across Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), including Muzaffarabad, Jhelum Valley, Kotli, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Haveli, Bagh, and Mirpur.

The positions primarily require candidates with a Matric education, and applicants will be considered based on their qualifications and physical fitness.

Available Positions:

  • Constable (Various locations in AJK)
  • Additional vacancies for 1947 Refugees in specific districts of AJK

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements:

  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification is required for all applicants.

Age Limit:

  • For General Candidates: Candidates should be between 18 to 25 years of age.
  • For 1947 Refugees: Candidates must meet specific age and documentation criteria related to refugee status.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must meet physical standards, including:

  • Sit-ups: 20 in 1 attempt
  • Push-ups: 15 in 1 attempt
  • Pull-ups: 13 in 1 attempt

Special Conditions:

  • Candidates from 1947 Refugee families who are currently residing in Pakistan and possess the DMR (Displaced Person’s Registration) are eligible to apply for specific vacancies.
  • Candidates from Azad Kashmir are not eligible for the 1947 Refugee vacancies.

How to Apply:

Application Process:

  • Candidates must submit their applications on the prescribed form, which can be obtained from the concerned SSPSP office for a fee of Rs. 200.
  • Along with the application, candidates must submit the following documents:
  • Educational certificates (attested)
  • Domicile certificate
  • 2x passport-sized photographs (attested)
  • Copy of DMR (if applicable for refugees)
  • The last date to submit applications is 20 December 2024. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Recruitment Process:

Candidates will undergo a multi-stage recruitment process:

Physical Test: Candidates must pass a physical fitness test (including sit-ups, push-ups, and pull-ups).

Written Test: Subjects will include:

Islamiyat

  • General Knowledge
  • Study of Pakistan
  • English Language

(A candidate must score at least 36 marks out of 100 in the written test to pass.)

Medical Test: All candidates must meet the medical standards set by the recruitment authorities.

Important Information:

  • TADA (Travel and Daily Allowance) will not be provided for the interview.
  • Candidates should bring their original documents for verification during the recruitment process.
  • Final Selection will be based on performance in physical, written, and medical tests.
  • Any false information found in the application will result in disqualification and legal action.
