The Energy Department, Government of Sindh, has announced vacancies for various consultant positions as part of the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP). Consultant Positions Available

The Energy Department is seeking qualified consultants in the following areas:

  • Design Consultant
  • Engineering Consultant
  • Verification Consultant

These positions will support the Sindh Solar Energy Project (SSEP), which aims to deploy solar power solutions across 286 facilities in Sindh.

Eligibility Criteria for Consultants

General Requirements:

  • Consultants must have relevant experience and qualifications for providing consulting services for the design, engineering, and supervision of solar PV systems.
  • Interested firms or individuals should demonstrate the required expertise, and experience, and provide specific documentation for their qualifications.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields from a recognized institution.
  • Experience in similar projects, specifically related to solar energy or renewable energy installations.
  • Firms must be incorporated/registered with the appropriate government department and have a legal entity status.
  • A Certificate of National Income & Sales Tax Numbers and proof of Active Taxpayer status are required.

Relevant Experience:

Consultants should provide detailed information on similar projects they have worked on, including the following:

  • Project Name
  • Project Cost
  • Client’s Name and Address
  • Start and Completion Date
  • Staff-Months Provided by the Firm
  • Description of Services Rendered

Additional Requirements:

  • Copies of Work Orders and Satisfactory Completion Certificates from clients are required for previous projects.
  • In case of a joint venture (JV) or association, an original letter of association from each partner must be provided, confirming the Lead Partner.
  • National firms must submit a notarized affidavit on stamp paper, confirming that the firm has never been blacklisted by any government or semi-government body and that all provided information is correct.

Shortlisting Criteria:

  • Corporate Profile: Including years of operations, management structure, and core competencies.
  • Relevant Experience: Data sheets for similar projects, including detailed descriptions, cost, and services rendered.
  • Tax Status: Proof of active taxpayer status.

  • Location: Consultants may be posted anywhere in Sindh, though Karachi will be the primary station.
  • No TA/DA: No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be provided for attending interviews or meetings.
