The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) will tentatively conduct the Examination-2025 for Appointment by Transfer in the Office Management Group (OMG) for the selection of Section Officers. The examination will cover 42 vacancies (22 in BS-17 and 20 in BS-18), with the examination period scheduled from 17th February 2025 to 22nd February 2025.

This examination will be held in accordance with the Rules and Syllabi for Appointment by Transfer in OMG, notified under SRO 1182(1)/2020 on November 3, 2020. The rules are available on the official FPSC website at www.fpsc.gov.pk.

  • Viva Voce (Only for candidates who qualify the written examination)

Eligibility Criteria

A. Educational Qualification

1. A candidate must hold at least a Second Class or Grade "C" Bachelor's degree in any faculty from an HEC/PHEC recognized university in Pakistan, or an equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

2. A candidate who has obtained a Third Division (or 'D' grade) in their Bachelor's degree is eligible, provided they have obtained a higher division in their Master's degree.

B. Age Limits

1. Candidates must be at least 30 years old on the closing date for receipt of applications (2nd December 2024).

2. No age relaxation will be provided in any case.

C. Service Requirements

Eligibility for Regular BS-17 or BS-18 Civil Servants:

A regular BS-17 or BS-18 civil servant, provincial civil servant, government servant, public servant, or officer of an autonomous body/corporation who has served on deputation in the Federal Secretariat in the Section Officer's post for a minimum of 3 years is eligible to appear in the examination.

Eligibility for Appointment by Transfer:

  • A BS-17 officer can only apply for a BS-17 post.
  • A BS-18 officer can only apply for a BS-18 post.

Examination Fee

  • Examination Fee: Rs. 2200/- (non-refundable)
  • The fee must be deposited in the National Bank of Pakistan under the Head of Account "C-02101-Organs of State, FPSC Exam Fee".
  • A blank Treasury Challan (T.R.6) is available on the FPSC website and can be downloaded for payment.

Procedure for Submission of Application

Online Application:

All applicants are required to apply online for the Examination-2025 for Appointment by Transfer in OMG during the period from 17th November 2024 to 2nd December 2024.

Submission of Hard Copy:

After submitting the online application, candidates must print and sign the hard copy of the application form and send it, along with all required documents, to the FPSC Headquarters in Islamabad within 10 days of the closing date.

Documents to be Attached:

  • Attested copies of required documents (including CNIC, academic certificates, etc.).
  • Photographs as per specifications.
  • Hard copy of the online application form must match the details entered in the online form.

Compliance with Rules:

Candidates must strictly adhere to the Rules for Appointment by Transfer in OMG (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2020.

Closing Date for Submission of Applications

The closing date for submission of online applications is 2nd December 2024.

Important Guidelines for Candidates

Accuracy of Online Form:

  • Candidates must fill out the online form carefully. No subsequent alterations will be allowed after submission. Ensure all information, such as CNIC and date of birth, is entered correctly to avoid rejection.

Hard Copy Submission:

  • After submitting the online application, candidates must ensure the hard copy of the form is signed and dispatched to the FPSC within 10 days of the closing date.

Strict Compliance:
