Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Challenging Opportunity
Balochistan Special Economic Zones, Industrial Estates Development & Management Company (BASEZIEC) is a public sector company registered under Section 42 of the Companies Act, 2017. The company is owned by the Industries & Commerce Department, Government of Balochistan and is tasked with developing and managing world-class Special Economic Zones in Balochistan. The goal is to promote industrialization and create jobs in the province.
To fulfill this mission, BASEZIEC is looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is a transformational leader, capable of taking the organization to the next level. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors (BOD) and the BASEZIEC team to ensure strategic visionary planning, effective project execution, and the development of a highly efficient system that enhances quality and transparency.
Required Competencies, Experience, and Qualifications
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must meet the criteria for appointment as Chief Executive of a Public Sector Company as defined by the Public Sector Companies (Appointment of Chief Executive) Regulations, 2019 by SECP.
- Demonstrates personal and financial integrity, along with the relevant skills and experience.
Experience:
- The candidate must have at least 15 years of experience in:
- Governance, business administration, public administration, finance, or related fields.
- Leadership roles such as CEO or senior management in organizations with commercial attributes (e.g., manufacturing, mining, engineering, finance, law, etc.).
Educational Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (16 years of education) from a reputable institution, preferably in business, manufacturing, mining, engineering, or any other relevant field.
- Alternatively, the candidate may be a professional accountant or business person with a postgraduate degree in business administration, finance, commerce, or marketing.
Age Limit:
- The applicant must be aged between 40 and 50 years.
Other Skills:
- Strong business, operational, and financial acumen.
- Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and the role of the government as a shareholder.
Pay Package and Facilities
- Contractual Appointment: The selected candidate will be offered a 1-year contractual appointment.
- Salary and benefits will be discussed with the selected candidate.

Shortlisting and Interview:
- Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
