A progressive Islamabad-based government organization is inviting applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the following key position to be filled:

Assistant Director (International Cooperation/Policy)

Qualification, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a professional degree in Public Policy, International Development, or Environmental Policy from a recognized institution, either local or foreign, that is approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience in the field is required.
  • Applicants with additional qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Electronics) or an MBA are strongly encouraged to apply, as such qualifications would be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical abilities, excellent report writing skills, and proficiency in research and policy formulation are essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities and Role Overview:

  • The Assistant Director (International Cooperation/Policy) will play a vital role in contributing to the organization’s international cooperation and policy development efforts. Specific responsibilities will include:
  • Assisting in the coordination and collaboration with international and donor agencies regarding the development and implementation of various programs and activities related to energy and international cooperation.
  • Contributing to the development of energy policies, which will include identifying critical policy issues, conducting research, gathering relevant data, and engaging in consultations and analysis to inform the policy-making process.
  • Coordinating with other internal sections of the organization to ensure effective communication and alignment of policy matters and international cooperation activities.
  • Preparing and presenting comprehensive reports, presentations, and other documentation to senior management as required for decision-making and strategic planning purposes.
