Overview of Internship Opportunities

The Punjab Employees Social Security Hospital (PESSI) in Faisalabad invites applications from eligible candidates for FCPS (Part-II) training positions in the fields of General Medicine and General Surgery. The training will be offered as part of the four-year FCPS training session starting in January 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

The following qualifications and documents are required for applicants:

General Requirements:

  • Education: Candidates must possess an MBBS degree (or equivalent) from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Experience: Applicants must have completed a House Job, certified by the concerned institution.
  • Domicile: Applicants should have a domicile in Punjab, Pakistan.
  • Registration: A valid registration certificate from the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) is required.

Required Documents:

Applicants must submit the following documents along with the printout of their online application form:

  • Matriculation Certificate (Science Group)
  • MBBS Degree
  • Attempt Serial (MBBS)
  • House Job Certificate (certified by the concerned institution)
  • Intermediate Certificate (Pre-Medical)
  • Details of Marks in each professional MBBS examination
  • PMDC Registration Certificate
  • National Identity Card
  • Passport Size Photograph
  • Certificate of Experience (if applicable)
  • Certificate from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan indicating passing FCPS Part-I (mandatory for application)

Application Process

Interested candidates are required to submit their applications through the hospital’s online portal at https://sshmadinatownfsd.com.pk. The application form must be filled out and printed before submitting it, along with the attested copies of the required documents, to the Medical Superintendent (MS) Office of the hospital.

Submission Deadline:

  • All applications must be submitted by December 14, 2024.

Additional Information:

  • The merit list will be compiled according to the procedure of the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department of the Government of Punjab.
  • Applications must be submitted online; no manual or hand-delivered applications will be accepted.
  • The results will be displayed on the hospital’s website and on the notice board outside the MS office.
  • Stipend: A stipend will be paid to the selected trainees as per the rules of the Punjab Social Security College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.

Terms and Conditions

  • Training Duration: The training will be for a maximum period of 4 years.
  • Prohibition on Outside Employment: Candidates are not allowed to work in any other institution (government or non-government) during their training.
  • Stipend: A stipend will be provided as per the rules of the Punjab Social Security College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
