Power Information Technology Company (PITC), a state-owned public-sector enterprise responsible for providing IT services and technology solutions to Distribution Companies (DISCOs) and other power sector entities, is inviting applications for the position of Chief Internal Auditor. The position is based in Lahore, and it offers a performance-based contract for a period of three years, with the possibility of extension based on performance and board approval.
This opportunity is open to experienced professionals with expertise in auditing, risk management, and internal control procedures, particularly in public sector projects. The role does not lead to regularization in the future.
Position: Chief Internal Auditor
Job Description:
PITC is seeking an energetic and qualified professional to fill the position of Chief Internal Auditor. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing internal control procedures, ensuring compliance, and reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
Required Qualifications:
- Membership in a recognized body of professional accountants (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPA, ACMA).
- Alternatively, an MBA in Finance from a reputable local or international university/institute.
Experience Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in auditing and risk management.
- Proven experience in designing internal control procedures, ensuring financial reliability, and compliance in public or private sector organizations.
- A strong understanding of governance, risks, and risk controls, particularly in SOEs or public sector projects.
Skills and Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of regulations, laws, policies, and Acts pertaining to the public sector.
- Experience in reporting directly to the Board of Directors.
- Familiarity with IT companies or ERP-based corporate environments will be an added advantage.
Age Limit:
- Maximum age of 55 years on the closing date of the application.
Contract and Compensation:
- The selected candidate will be offered a performance-based three-year contract, with a market-based compensation package aligned with BPS-19 and supplementary benefits.
- The contract may be extended based on performance and approval from the Board.
