Legal Expert / Law Officer

Job Specific Requirements:

  • To be eligible for the positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Educational Qualifications:

  • LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or LLM (Master of Laws) or Barrister at Law degree from universities or institutions recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

Professional Requirements:

  • Fluent in English with a strong understanding of general and procedural laws.
  • Must be enrolled with the Sindh Bar Council and hold a valid license to appear before High Courts.
  • At least 3 years of independent practice with experience in pleading cases before a High Court.
  • Proficiency in legal drafting, including preparing written arguments, statements, applications, appeals, etc.
  • Skilled in drafting and vetting agreements, contracts, tenders, MOUs, etc.
  • Well-versed with court procedures and able to manage casework, liaise with court offices, and handle case fixations.
  • Negotiation skills for dispute resolution in both court matters and ADP cases.
  • Expertise in Federal and Provincial fiscal laws will be considered an additional advantage.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Contract Basis: The selected candidates will be hired on a one-year contract. The contract may be extended at the discretion of the employer. However, there is no provision for regularization into a permanent position.
  • Location: Candidates can be posted anywhere in Sindh, with the primary station being in Karachi.
  • Government Employees: Candidates already serving in Government Departments, Autonomous Bodies, or Semi-Government Offices must apply through the proper channel.
  • Only Eligible Candidates: Applications from candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected at any stage of the selection process. Only eligible candidates will be called for the test/interview.
  • No TA/DA: Travel or Daily Allowance will not be provided for attending the test/interview.
  • Incomplete Applications: Incomplete applications or those received without the required supporting documents will not be considered.
  • Domicile: Candidates must be residents of Sindh and must provide a PRC (Permanent Residence Certificate) in Form D along with their application.
