The Planning & Development Department, Sindh invites applications for the position of Project Director as advertised in the 27 December 2024 edition of the daily Jang Newspaper.

Position Details

  • Position: Project Director

Education:

  • Master’s degree in Social Sciences or a related discipline.

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in the public sector, including managing development projects.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Project Director roles with international organizations such as the World Bank or UN.

Expertise in:

  • Institutional and operational capacity building in disaster response.
  • Monitoring and evaluation.
  • Procurement processes.
  • Financial and managerial skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Urdu (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets and data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership in human resource management and decision-making roles.

Job Details and Terms

  • Appointment: The Project Director will be appointed by the Chairman, P&D Board Sindh.
  • Contract Period: Initially for two years, extendable based on performance and project requirements.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must not exceed 50 years of age.
  • Domicile: Candidates must have a Sindh domicile/PRC.
  • Compensation: Salary and perks will align with the research budget provisions provided by the World Bank.
