The University of Health Sciences invites applications for various academic positions advertised in the daily Jang on 21st December 2024. These vacancies are located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan, and include positions for Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, and Professors in different health sciences departments. The preferred educational qualifications for these roles include MBBS, PhD, and related degrees.

Available Positions and Required Qualifications:

The University is looking for qualified individuals to fill positions in the following academic departments:

Professor (BPS-20)

  • Departments: Pathology, Oral Pathology, Public Health, Pharmacology, Family Medicine
  • Required Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification registered with the PMDC; PhD in relevant disciplines preferred.
  • Experience: At least three years as an Associate Professor or nine years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in the respective subject.

Associate Professor (BPS-19)

  • Departments: Biochemistry, Anatomy, Chemical Pathology, Pharmacology, Public Health, Family Medicine, Microbiology
  • Required Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent qualifications; PhD or Master's in relevant fields.
  • Experience: Minimum three years as an Assistant Professor in the relevant subject.

Assistant Professor (BPS-18)

  • Departments: Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Public Health
  • Required Qualifications: MBBS or equivalent medical qualification; Master's degree or PhD in the respective fields.
  • Experience: Required research publications and teaching experience.

Key Requirements for All Positions:

  • Research Publications: For academic roles, a minimum number of research publications is required as specified for each position.
  • Age: Applicants should be between 25 to 45 years at the time of the interview.
  • Experience: Must meet the experience requirements outlined for each academic rank.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Applicants must have a Punjab domicile to be eligible.
  • All appointments will be made on a contract basis under the UHS Service Statutes.
  • No TA/DA will be provided for interviews.
  • Selected candidates may be posted at any UHS campus (City Campus or Jinnah Campus).
  • Applications received after the last date or incomplete applications will not be entertained.

After submission, the candidate should download and print the form.

Manual Submission:

Submit the printed form along with attested copies of educational certificates, CNIC, domicile, passport-sized photographs, and original bank challan (payment fee for BPS-18 & above is Rs. 2000/-) to the Deputy Registrar (HR), Room #12, University of Health Sciences, Lahore.

Deadline:

  • All applications must be submitted by 6th January, 2025 during working hours.
