The Municipal Corporation Sargodha invites applications for the following positions under the Local Government Legal Advisor Rules, 2003:

1. Legal Advisor

2. Advocate

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • At least a BA and LLB degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal practice.

Other Requirements:

  • Must provide certified copies of educational qualifications and experience certificates along with the application.
  • Legal Advisors will be required to appear in various courts as specified below.

Responsibilities

Court Appearances

Civil and Magistrate Courts

  • District and Sessions Court, Labor Court Sargodha, R.U. Courts, PRA, FBR.

Higher Courts and Tribunals

  • Lahore High Court, Punjab Labor Tribunal, Punjab Services Tribunal Lahore.
  • FBR Tribunal, PRA Plaint Tribunal, and Headquarters.

Additional Duties

  • Legal Advisors may be assigned additional duties related to office matters by the department.

Honorarium and Tenure

Monthly Honorarium:

  • Rs. 25,000 (Income tax will be deducted as per government rules).

Tenure:

  • The appointment will be for a period of 2 years.

Approval:

  • Appointment is subject to approval by the Secretary Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Punjab, Lahore.
